Hunter Care Limited is an independent not for profit, community based and community funded organisation which raises funds to support Life Education in the Hunter Region so every child can thrive.
We are on a mission: to empower our children to make safer and healthier choices. We are achieving this through preventive health education.
Life Education programs are delivered by a team of specially trained educators and supported by tune in lessons prior to the visit and a series of post-visit resources, our evidence-based program is not a rule book and does not dictate to children, this is essential to our success. Adopting a system-wide approach, our program is most effective when engaging the entire school community; students, teachers and parents. Delivered face to face or virtually.
OUR HISTORY
Hunter Care Limited began in 1985 to provide Life Education programs in the Newcastle and Hunter Regions. Since then, thanks to the support of our regional community, many preschool, primary and high school students’ have and continue to receive Life Education programs. Many children experienced the programs in Life Ed vans at their school, while others attended the Hunter Life Education Centre in Edgeworth.
